Vinsionaireicon Petrusfront Bord Bordwines

Jayer
Wines of Henri Jayer
The wines of Henri Jayer (1922 – 2006) produced from his tiny parcels in and around Vosne-Romanee are acclaimed as the best Burgundy that one could find. The mystique is further enhanced by the miniscule number of bottles of his wines that is available on either the auction or retail market.
Paviesmall
Wines of Chateau Pavie
Just in case the dinner conversation becomes stale, this controversial wine should liven up proceedings.Pavie is located to the east of the town of Saint Emilion. This picturesque town is some 45 kilometers east of the city of Bordeaux and across the Dordogne River (part of the Gironde estuary).
Chevaliersmall
Wines of Domaine Leflaive
Since Montrachet are ridiculously expensive and scarce, the best alternatives are the other three grand crus. However, Chevalier is better than Batard and Bienvenues. If there is no substantial difference in price, Chevalier should be the choice.
Clinetlist
Wines of Chateau Clinet
Clinet is situated in Pomerol, by far the smallest of the top-quality wine regions of Bordeaux. At this clay and gravelly plateau, you would find Petrus literally at the top being surrounded by the rest of the top Pomerol domaines.
A Fairytale Evening at Margaux
newly added
George McDonald, the 19th century Scottish poet, said “In giving, a man receives more than he gives …”. And so it was that a modest act of giving on our part resulted in an enchanted evening at the fabled Chateau Margaux. In late 2010, we attended a charity dinner with a group of friends. To assist in raising funds for a worthy cause, Chateau Margaux donated a dinner at its winery and offered it to the highest bidder.
