Tips for Using the Site
Vinsionaire has endeavoured to provide a site which allows users to browse wines with the greatest of ease. It is designed to provide all the information that you would need in assessing whether the wine is what you want and each of the features is intuitive. A brief explanation is set out below to assist you, if needed, and to make your search experience more enjoyable.
- Type in one or more keywords related to a wine and search the database for matches, e.g., type in “Amoureuses” and find 1997 Georges Roumier “Les Amoureuses” Chambolle Musigny.
- You can also search for bottle sizes by typing in bottle size, e.g., bottle (standard size bottle), magnum, etc..
- Type in year to find wine of a particular vintage
- Wines are categorized by major wine regions and you can search wine within a region with a click. Wines not in a specific category are placed under “Others”.
- Click “details” for a particular wine and find information including wine reviewer, tasting note, score, drinking window and photographs of the actual wine.
- Click at photograph to see enlarged depiction.
- What’s New are our new acquisitions which are not yet in store but are in transit to Hong Kong. Click at wine for details (photos are not available). Please pre-order because quantity is limited.
- Sort wine within region by using “Sort By” functions. You can find wines from old to new (and vice versa), highest to lowest price (and vice versa) and by alphabetical order.
- Further narrow your search by using “Wine Search”, e.g., by range of years (say, 1982 to 1989), by price range, etc.. Click wine for details and photographs.
- Click “Icons” for our selection of wines with perfect scores from critics. Click wine for details and photographs of actual item.
- Click “In-Bond” to find our wines stored in United Kingdom and available for delivery to Hong Kong. Click wine for details.
- Click at photograph on right side bar to find out more about the depicted wine including the winery and the wine-maker.
We want to make this the best site for wine shopping so your comments would be appreciated.
